Another great summer picnic was had last Sunday. Two well attended rides followed by an even better attended party. Many thanks to Mark Kaufmann for yet again hosting this wonderful get together and to all the volunteers that help make it happen!

The Holiday party was well attended despite the inclement weather. Our silent auction brought in $1,605 for Monterey Junior Cycling Development! Thanks to all that gave and to Melvin Dubee for organizing the auction. We thanked Jack McKenna and Suzanne Kroeze for their years of service to the club as Treasurer and Activities Chair and  respectively, and welcomed new directors Sally Miller and Clair Anstice to the VCM Board.

Our annual Bowling Nite was well attended and bordered on boisterous from time to time. Fred C. won the "I'm not too proud to use the dinosaur" Award, while Patrick T. won the "I managed to fall besides having nothing to drink" Prize. 

The team store is open and is set to close on October 30^th.

All sales are final once they are placed. Our team Account Manager (Yvette Harris) can go in and adjust SIZES while the team store is OPEN, but she cannot adjust QUANTITIES. If team members decide they want additional items, they must submit a second order.  She is also available to help with any sizing questions.

Please urge them to use this tool!  “I’m usually a large in cycling gear” or “I wear an XL tee shirt” is not useful

in determining your size with Pactimo as other vendors and clothing manufacturers tend to size larger than we do.

 

The team store will close at midnight on October 30^th. Once the store is closed, no additional orders can be accepted. At that point,  all orders will go into production and the 5-week delivery time frame begins. Items purchased within the team store are not put into production until the entire store closes, not calculated 5 weeks according to the order date.

 

Our store has individual shipping. Please verify your shipping address. All shipments are delivered via Fed Ex and cannot go to a PO Box and may require a signature at time of delivery.

Another successful rendition of the Annual Summer Picnic! Many thanks to Mark Kaufmann for the terrific venue and all the volunteers that helped make it happen.

Many thanks to all the volunteers that helped cleanup "our" section of the bike path. A lot of us came straight from the Tuesday NRJ ride and with much elbow grease and some tools ( power and not) made relatively quick work of it. A few passing cyclists were very appreciative!

Gordon and Sue Martine reveal the Monterey Junior Cycling Development's new team kit. At a get-together hosted by Claire and Martin Anstice' at their beautiful Pacific Grove residence, the juniors along with parents and mentors celebrated the new kit and a renewed relationship with Velo Club Monterey. Also announced was the new junior representative, Ryder Ritchie, who will be updating the VCM board of the junior activities at board meetings starting this fall.

         

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!

Help support the VCM (we get paid!) and the Sea Otter Classic by volunteering at this years event. Velo Club Monterey is responsible for providing volunteers at two rest stops during the Gran Fondo event on Saturday, April 9th.
