If it’s New Year’s Day, it must be time to kick off 2022 with a Carmel Valley Road climb to Cahoon Summit. 

Slower climbers start at 8:30am. Speedsters may want to begin at 9. We’ll climb 18 miles to the summit and toast the New Year together with a little Champagne before returning.

• Date: Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022
• Start/Finish: Robin and Bill Harness' Home near Carmel Valley Village (Address details will be emailed to those who register)
• Start time: 8:30/9:00am
• Route: Carmel Valley to Cahoon Summit and back 
• Distance: Out and back is 36 miles
• Refreshments: A taste of Champagne at the top
• Lunch: Robin will serve soup, salad, and bread
• NOT a Cyclist: there are great hiking trails near the Harness' home
• RAIN??: Come for lunch and a visit ANYWAY - 11:30am!!
